A Letter From the Owner

I’m Tommy Ulman, and I hope we can be your go-to for all things automotive. Along with my wife, Catalina, you can usually find us here at the dealership.

I was born and raised in Jacksonville—growing up on the Northside near the airport—and I graduated from First Coast High School in 2002. I started my career in car sales in 2002 and joined the Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge family in 2004 at the Baymeadows location. I sold cars there until 2006 when I was promoted to sales manager. I had the privilege of learning from a true mentor, Ken Kovacs, who taught me the right way to do business—putting people first and building lasting relationships. In 2010, our dealership grew and earned the opportunity to open a second location off of Atlantic Blvd. By 2012, we were able to open this location at 9600 Atlantic Blvd, in the old Toys-R-Us building.

I had the honor of opening this new location as General Manager, and with the support of the community, we saw incredible growth. What started as a small 4-acre lot expanded three times, growing to over 9 acres, with a full-service car wash and fuel station. In 2014, Ken made me a partner, and at just 31, I didn’t take that opportunity lightly. We grew the business to over 100 employees and consistently sold over 300 vehicles a month. Our highest record was 432 vehicles sold in one month. In 2020, we opened our third location at 7030 Commonwealth, which features a state-of-the-art showroom, climate-controlled service drive, and indoor delivery area. This location has allowed us to offer even more to our customers—commercial vehicles like the Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500, as well as the Promaster vans and chassis cabs. We’ve even created a local partnership with General Truck and Trailer to upfit these vehicles for small businesses. Now, we’re working hard to grow our commercial truck department, focusing on meeting the needs of local small business owners. We’re here to provide vehicles and services that help your business thrive. Whether it’s a van for delivery or a truck with custom upfits, we’re here to support your business needs every step of the way.

Throughout my career, I’ve met most of my closest friends through the car business, and nearly every vendor we work with at home and in our businesses started as a customer. I’ve learned so much about the importance of relationships—just like the one I’m building with you right now. A little about my family: my wife Catalina and I have two miniature dachshunds, Duke and Dallas, and our rescue mutt, Dierks. Our dogs are our kids, and they keep us busy. I met Catalina in 2021 at a Zac Brown concert, and when you know, you know. We got engaged that Christmas Eve, and we were married in 2024. Catalina is the sweetest, most caring person I know, and you’ll often see her here at the dealership, lending a helping hand in any way she can. We’re passionate about giving back to the community, which is why we support causes like Wilson’s Children’s Hospital, K9’s for Warriors, and First Coast No More Homeless Pets. We also proudly sponsor local youth sports teams and attend local events like parades in Green Cove Springs and Callahan. Our dealership is also the exclusive automotive partner for the Jacksonville Boat Show and sponsors the Jacksonville Christmas Tree Lighting at James Weldon Johnson Park. We’re proud to be a part of this community.
